David sells Gilroy Car Care to Dale Boomgaarden
1990
Gilroy Car Care moves to 7747 Monterey Rd.

Dale & Cheryl Boomgaarden retire and sell the business to Kristopher Ewing.
Gilroy Car Care was established in 1982 by David Nielsen. Dale and Cheryl Boomgaarden purchased the shop from Mr. Nielsen in 1986 and moved the shop to our current location in 1990. When Dale and Cheryl Boomgaarden were ready to retire in 2017, a longtime customer and friend of Mr. Nielsen and the Boomgaardens purchased Gilroy Car Care. “I was always impressed with the level of honesty and care everyone at the shop displayed. It's a car shop owned, operated, and staffed by true car people.” Kris first worked with David Nielsen, the founder of Gilroy Car Care, in 2010 and eventually purchased the business in early 2017. While the ownership of Gilroy Car Care has changed over the years, its values and commitment to its customers have not. We care about you and your vehicle and look forward to meeting you.
